We have such a treat for you right here! Gemma and Matt held their wedding in Beech Dell at GreenAcres Chiltern recently and it was absolutely brilliant. As you’ll see from these gorgeous images, a Beech Dell real wedding really is a beautiful, special thing. Gemma’s shoes, Matt’s suit, the decorations and so much love – this was an unforgettable day for the Chiltern team.
Notes from a Beech Dell real wedding…
“We wanted somewhere different for our wedding. Once we heard about the plans for Beech Dell, we knew it would be perfect for us. We signed up before it was even built! When we visited an Open Day and were doubly assured when we met the team, we knew everything would run smoothly.”
“We wanted a colourful, informal and fun wedding. Flowers came from gardens and allotments, mixed with foliage and the occasional pineapple! We filled the day with flora, colour and candour plus an eclectic soundtrack and eccentric ceremony readings. Our day was all about eighty of our family and friends in a gorgeous setting. Plus, it was also one of those rare weddings where the bride turned up early!”
“If we were to give any words of advice to future couples, we would say agree early on in the planning process what’s important to you. There’s so much pressure to do ‘traditional’ things but don’t be pushed into anything to keep up appearances. Be clear about what you want – it’s easier to make decisions when you have a vision for the day.”
What we loved…
We absolutely LOVED Gemma and Matt’s fabulous wedding. Gemma’s Grace Loves Lace dress with a custom skirt by Tina Waller Bridal was a big hit. Matt’s bespoke grey double-breasted suit by King & Allen was another highlight – check out that bright orange lining!
Beryl’s Vintage Hire supplied those amazing green vases and the neutral coloured blankets that sat over the wooden benches and we have to mention those rugs that lined the aisle. Such a great finishing touch.
It was also a joy to host Gemma and Matt’s ‘fizz and pastries’ drinks reception at GreenAcres after their ceremony before they headed off for their village hall reception. We hear this included yummy treats by Rachel’s Event Catering plus puddings made by family and friends. What a deliciously delightful day!
