As you might have noticed by now, we LOVE weddings at GreenAcres! Our woodlands and buildings are just perfect for beautiful ceremonies and our teams are head over heels with everything wedding related. Today, we’re sharing our favourite things with you and here’s what two of our wedding experts love right now…

GreenAcres Rainford is our woodland wedding venue near St Helens in Merseyside and its woodland and wildflower meadow are already proving super popular. Keely, who heads the wedding team at Rainford says:

“Our couples love the wild flower look and seasonal wildflowers such as ox-eye daisies, orchids and ever-so fragrant lavender. Rainford is very much part of this floral trend with its stunning wildflower backdrop and our neighbouring lavender farm.”

“After your GreenAcres wedding ceremony, why not dance the night away with Betty’s Tipis, our next-door neighbours, in a tipi filled with fairy lights in fields of lavender to complete your magical day.”

“Woodland weddings are captivating the imagination of photographers and couples alike, with the uniqueness of the setting allowing you to personalise your wedding pictures with a backdrop designed by nature. Whether you choose to be towered over by a group of ancient mighty oak trees, or sat together surrounded by a glade of bluebells in a lovers embrace, you can make your day your own. Take a journey around our woodland and seek out your favourite spots to create photos and memories that are as unique as you are.”

Our woodland in Buckinghamshire, GreenAcres Chiltern, is the dreamy wedding location that you might have seen recently on Love My Dress. We introduced you to Marisa and her team in this post and here are Marisa’s thoughts on the trends she’s currently seeing:

“It seems that our couples want to start their celebrations earlier for their guests and GreenAcres is a great place to do this. We’re seeing lots of pre wedding drinks being served to guests before the ceremony as well as post wedding drinks too.”

“When it comes to food, locally sourced organic ingredients are in demand. Beautifully presented, simple food is on trend here at the park. Think rib-eye steak sandwiches, premium hand-made burgers and Panchos – Argentina’s answer to a stylish hot dog.”

“Also on trend is a more laid-back setting. Brides are adding flowers to their hairstyle, but no longer are the flowers in the shape of a crown that sits on top of the head or veil. These flowers, ranging in size from tiny baby’s breath to roses in full bloom, are woven into a braid or pulled back for a relaxed look which again suites the relaxed more natural environment.”

“Soft and delicate details such as vintage floral tablecloths are very hot right now, as are floral patterns in general, which we are seeing a lot of for invitations, menu cards, and reception cards.”

“Incorporating technology in a personalised way is also another huge trend we’re seeing. People are missing that ‘hand touched’ and intimate feeling. We recently had a couple offer their guests a photo opportunity behind our natural wooden picture frame which is suspended from a tree in the woodlands, which they could take with them as a keepsake.”

“Lastly, I LOVE our large wooden swing! This is suspended from our trees so that our lucky couples can incorporate this in their wedding photos. So much fun and definitely different!”
