Today, we’re taking a look at some fabulous locations for woodland minimoons right here in the UK and don’t worry, there’s still plenty of luxury and indulgence on offer. If the thought of spending even more time among the trees after your wedding appeals then read on because these woodland escapes are just wonderful…
What is a minimoon?
Before we leap into looking at the best spots for memorable minimoons, perhaps we should explain exactly what a minimoon is! Well, instead of taking the traditional ten-day or two-week honeymoon, a minimoon is a shorter break that’s usually closer to home. Think long weekend instead of long-haul and you’ll be spot on.
There are lots of reasons why couples choose a minimoon as their post-wedding holiday – it could be that you’ve got commitments that make taking more time off tough, you might be saving for a BIG honeymoon at a later date, you might not like the environmental impact of long-haul travel or you might just love the UK and want to explore here. Whatever your reasons, you’re still guaranteed a brilliant break.
